Frans Bicker Caarten

Frans is currently a partner at John Galt Consulting providing strategic, management consulting, marketing and corporate finance services to a broad range of multinationals wishing to understand the African landscape in general or seeking to operate specifically in certain territories. John Galt has been appointed Principal in transactions totalling over R1.5B.

Before joining John Galt Consulting, Frans was CFO & COO of the Spier Group managing the Group’s significant investments in wine, leisure, property development, farming, conservation and green technology. Before Spier, Frans was Vice President and CFO for Coca-Cola Southern and East Africa and Chairman of Coca-Cola Canners, Coca-Cola Bottlers Luanda and Husky Refrigeration as well as being a director of Coca-Cola Zambia and Schweppes Zimbabwe. Before Coca-Cola, Frans was a Corporate Finance Manager at Malbak.

Frans has also served as a Johannesburg City Councillor and was Deputy Chairman of the Budgets and Finance Committee for the City of Johannesburg EMLC. He is currently Chairman of Love2Give, an NGO providing daily meals to over 2,000 children and 100 families in Kayamandi, Cape Town.
