Barak Herman

Barak Herman is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Lionhead. He oversees the firm’s financial, operational, and data infrastructure, ensuring Lionhead’s systems and processes support disciplined execution and scalability. Barak leads the firm’s finance, reporting, and technology functions, with responsibility for internal controls, performance monitoring, and enterprise operations. He plays a central role in aligning operational excellence with Lionhead’s strategic objectives and supports the investment team in executing transactions across the firm’s strategies.

Prior to joining Lionhead, Barak held operational and financial roles at a leading Agritech start-up, Credit Suisse’s Global Markets division in London, Barclays Africa team, and Deloitte Financial Services.

Barak is a CA(SA), FRM Charterholder and received a B.Com, Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Masters in Finance from the University of Cape Town.
