Christopher Sims is Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Lionhead. He leads the firm’s investment functions across its global strategies, working closely with the investment team to oversee portfolio performance, capital deployment, and long-term value creation. Chris ensures Lionhead maintains institutional discipline across its underwriting, analytics, and reporting, embedding data-driven decision-making at every level of the investment process. He is responsible for the design and consistency of Lionhead’s investment frameworks, monitoring systems, and portfolio reporting, ensuring financial outcomes remain aligned with the firm’s long-term objectives.

Before co-founding Lionhead, Chris was a Principal at Stellar Capital Partners, where he co-led the credit investment team focused on providing senior and mezzanine debt to middle-market companies. Prior to Stellar, he was a Vice President at Barclays Africa, focusing on principal equity investments, and earlier an Investment Associate at the Nodus Group, a private equity firm.

Chris is a CA (SA) and CFA Charterholder and received a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) from the University of Cape Town.
